Nuvuu Vasatanante Nenoddantanaa got tremendous response in AP. It released with 86 prints, and now prints count is going to reach around 200 according to star producer MS Raju. One example of the stamina and success of this film is, it even inspired one co-producer of MS Raju and made him part of this film. After seeing this film Mr. Sravanthi Ravi Kishore himself wanted to be part of this film and hence he took the overseas rights and releasing this film abroad in collaboration with KAD entertainments. Producer MS Raju and Sravanthi Ravi kishore are most confident that they are going to release this film in countries where previously no other Telugu films are released. On this occasion TollywoodInfo.com met MS Raju. Here are the excerpts... Congrats for getting Hatrick hits. How are you feeling about it? See, Hatrick is not important. The only secret is we are on the right track. That’s the secret. Whenever we are on the right track, we will give more hatricks to audience. Tell us something about NVNV? It's a film with lot of agony. After Manasantha Nuvve, I really was scared about this movie because there is no big casting, and releasing it along with big films. But the film got terrific openings. I have never seen this kind of openings for my previous films. What is the success range of NVNV? In past, Ladies used to stand in queues for hours to get tickets for Lavakusa film. After that I am seeing it for NVNV. Not only ladies, mass and youth are in queues for NVNV. Just for an example, I had some obligation to get 6 tickets for NVNV in Prasad Multiplex. But I couldn't get tickets. I tried to get those from distributors and exhibitors, but none are available. All of them switched off their mobiles, because of tickets obligations. And one more thing, in most centers NVNV is going to be screened for 175 days. Even in small center like Amalapuram also, it will be screened 175 days. In hyderabad, we released in 16 theatres. Now it is 3rd week, it will be in 18 theatres. I am proud that this movie is from my banner. Its going great in twin cities, what about its run in other centers? It’s getting terrific response from every center. Take the example of Warangal. Before ‘Okkadu’ there used be a 50 days record for ‘Osey Ramulamma’ in 2 centers. Okkadu broke that record by playing 75 days. Again ‘Varsham’ broke that record by playing 100 days. Now, I can say NVNV is going break that record with 175 days run. It is playing in 2 theatres in Warangal. Now you can guess the response from other centers. How many prints you have released? Are you planning to increase prints? We released it with 84 prints, 2nd week the prints count reached 150. I think it will go for 200 prints mark in 3rd week. I, myself got surprised looking at the prints demand. You are very close to other producers in industry. How is your co-producers response about NVNV? After watching Varsham, Suresh babu & Sravanthi Ravi Kishore said, you can do better than this. But for this NVNV, they praised me a lot. Sravanthi Ravi Kishore is very much impressed with the film and bought the rights for overseas. Not for commercial purpose. He just wants to be part of this film. There is a comment about your films that Varsham and NVNV are the freemakes of ‘Tejaab’ and ‘Maine Pyaar Kiya’. What is your comment on this? Don't compare my films with other films. One day Athreya, the lyricist sat on beach to write a song. Then the rain started. He wrote "Chitapata Chinukulu" song. What's that mean? Athreya copied rain? No, he just got inspiration from it. Same thing happened to me. We too get inspired after watching good movies. After ‘Mruga raju’ you gave a chance to Guna Shekhar, and after ‘Bobby’ you gave a chance to Shobhan. Isn’t it a risky decision? See, Last month Tsunami hit Chennai. Does it stop everybody going there? No, you cannot under estimate a director with one flop. You are taking one-year gap from film to film. Why? Not for all films, I started working for ‘Manasantha Nuvve’ on may 1st, shooting started on June 1st and it was released in September. In 6 months the film work is completed. For some films it takes more time to complete. You've announced ‘Sainyam’. But seems like it is postponed. Is there any specific reason? Because ‘Sainyam’ is not a easy movie to make in rush. It needs more time. Tell us something about ‘Sainyam’? Right now all my concentration is on ‘Pournami’ movie with Prabhas. I will give more details on ‘Sainyam’ later. You take only Love subjects with feel good movie concept. Do you think its risk free? I am very much inspired by Yash chopra, Raj kapoor and Rajshree productions. So I want to make their type of films. Not only love, there is so much importance for women in my films. Take from Satruvu to NVNV, both the hero and heroine roles have equal importance. You have very good screenplay writing skills. Can we see M.S.Raju as director in future? No, I don’t want to direct. I want to encourage & give chances to youngsters and guide them. Direction requires a lot of time and dedication. There is a rumor that you interfere in direction. Is it true? I don’t agree. You can check with all my directors. If anyone says its true, then I will accept. Is there any dream project for you? Yes, there is one. But I don’t want to reveal it now. Will tell you all when I start it. You spent huge amount on charminar set for Okkadu. Don’t you think it was risky? We know that our cinema is going to get more response with that set. So I did put that much money on it. I didn't bother about the risk. Do you think NVNV gets success in overseas? Definitely. Where there is human emotion and human values, there this picture should get success. There are no area limitations for films. For example, a Telugu movie Marocharithra ran for 100 days in Chennai. And one more thing, we are planning to release NVNV in South Africa, Korea and Japan. Tell us about your future projects? We have Pournami with Prabhas. It is going to start on March 14th, regular shooting schedule will start from May. We are planning Vijaya dasami with NTR Jr and Script work is going on. |
