About Our Rating

Storyline: Balu (Vaibhav) is a college going guy who hates love and love marriages. Anjali (Shradda Arya) is a rich girl who studies in the same college. Initially, they hate immensely each other but later Anjali realizes that she is in love with Balu. But she makes clear herself that Balu is a hater of love. Now she wants to put efforts to convince him about her sincerity in love. The rest of the story is all about how Balu realize that he is perfect to Anjali.

Casting Performances:
Vaibhav – son of A Kodanda Rami Reddy is competent in male lead role. He suited the role very well. He looked pretty fresh and energetic. He showed ease in fights and dance. He is little bit poor in histrionics aspect. His dialogue delivery needs some modulation and variation. Overall, he is ok. Let us wish for his bright future.

Shradda Arya is pretty cute in looks. She looked glamorous in modern attire. She got good footage in the film. Her character needs to exhibit mischievous expressions and innocence but unfortunately it is
missing in the film. Her dances are good.

Others:
Shiyaji Shindey as heroine’s father and as main villain is good. Chalapathi Rao and Delhi Rajeshwari did extremely well as parents of hero. The way how they quarrel each other is very funny. Chitram Srinu and Babloo as associates to hero are ok. Venumadhav’s comedy track is a squander. Megabrother Nagababu appeared in a guest role. Mumaith Khan’s sister Zubein Khan did an item number. Others chipped in.

TECHNICAL ASPECTS
Story - Screenplay & Direction:

Story has nothing new in it. It is very simple and most of the part is mixture of several Telugu films. It explores what is love is all about and how it wins. Some scenes in the film retained some amount of freshness and else part is routine. Screenplay is mediocre. Direction is good at times. Director should have been concentrated more on script and entertainment values.

Music by Manisharma is definitely a plus to the film. All songs are good particularly the one’s in the first half. Background score is fine. Dialogues by Paruchuri Brothers are adequate. Editing has to be crispier in the second half. Scene to scene connection is not up to the mark. Stunts are of first-rate. Photography is good. The song picturization is very good. Production values by K Films banner is of high standards.

Analysis:
First half of the film is ok which is filled with lots of college scenes. The tempo in the second half is not maintained well. Vaibhav’s debut performace is praise worthy. He has a bright future as hero in Telugu Film Industry. Main strengths of the film are Vaibhav, music and first half. On the flipside, weak script, lack of entertainment and second half are negative aspects of the film. Venumadhav’s separate comedy track is a squander. Overall, Godava is an average film which can be watched once.
