About Our Rating

Storyline: Abhiram (Sharwanand) is a rich teenager leading a carefree life. He falls in love with a medico, Janaki (Kamalini Mukherjee), an orphan who has a good heart for dejected people and likes in doing social activities. She also falls for him, but later realizes that Abhiram is not her ideal match as he does not care for society and for suffering people and leaves the city. Abhiram takes a road trip on his bike in search of his love. Gaali Seenu (Allari Naresh), a small time motorbike thief, joins Abhiram and helps him in finding his love. How Gaali Seenu influences Abhiram’s life and how all ends forms the rest of the story.

Casting Performances:
Allari Naresh steals the entire show with his terrific comedy timing. His body language perfectly suited the role of Gali Seenu. This may be his best performance till date.

Sharwanand played as a rich youngster and suited the role to the tee. He looked very charming in the film. His performance in the emotional scenes is noteworthy.

Kamalini Mukherjee performs for an important role in the film and has given a wonderful performance. Chinese dance by her looked good.

Rao Ramesh, who did the role of ex-naxalite is very good. Abhishek as brother of hero role is ok. Brahmanandam did a short role and evoked good laughter. MS Narayana’s comedy is good enough.

TECHNICAL ASPECTS
Story - Screenplay & Direction:

Basic Story of the film is about a rich brat who recognizes the significance of life through a journey. But what makes this simple story into delightful fare is the screenplay, which is very good and interesting. Debutant director Krish handled the film with tremendous gripping screenplay. One should commend the director for his wonderful script writing particularly the Gaali Seenu Character. Direction is also good.

Other Departments:
Music ES Murthy-Anil R is average and routine. Background score is fine. Dialogues by Nagaraju Gandham are stupendous particularly one-liners by Allari Naresh such as ‘idhey Yaganti adhigo aunty’ and ‘basu adhi naa casu’. There are also neat philosophical dialogues in the film. Photography by Hari Anumolu is neat. Lyrics by Sirivennela are very sensible and worth a special mention. Editing is precise. Stunts are adequate. Overall, it’s a good effort from technical department.

Analysis:
First half of the film is very entertaining with some exceptional comedy by Allari Naresh. The main positive aspects of the film are screenplay, character performances, and comedy. Second half of the film is also good barring few scenes. Climax is appropriate. Debutant director Radha Krishna (Krish) convincingly dealt the main ingredient of the film, love and human-relationships in the entertainment mode and he should be commended for his writing abilities. Overall, Gamyam is a worth watch movie and a fresh breeze from routine commercial flicks.
